[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Women organized an awareness workshop titled \u201cNegative Phenomena of Domestic Violence and Its Remedies,\u201d delivered by Assistant Lecturer Samara Ata Rasool and Assistant Lecturer Lamia Nabil Mahmoud.<\/p>\n

The awareness workshop aimed to encourage dialogue by opening channels to discuss domestic violence, helping to remove the stigma surrounding the subject, encouraging victims to share their experiences, and promoting social change. It also focused on changing cultural and social patterns that perpetuate domestic violence, fostering values of respect and equality in relationships, and influencing policymakers to develop laws and policies that protect victims and penalize perpetrators, thereby enhancing efforts to combat domestic violence.<\/p>\n

The workshop concluded with several key recommendations, including raising awareness and education by enhancing campaigns about domestic violence, educating the community on individual rights and the importance of healthy relationships, supporting victims by establishing specialized support centers offering psychological, social, and legal assistance, and strengthening laws by developing and implementing strict legislation to combat domestic violence and facilitate legal procedures for victims.<\/p>\n
