The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women hosted the University of Baghdad under the auspices of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdul Maleh, and under the supervision of its official Eng. Safia Ihsan Kamel, Dr. from the Montessori Foundation in North America, Zahraa Raad Abazar, to hold a scientific workshop entitled (Practicing sports activities and their impact on the social behavior of children.)<\/p>\n

As Dr. Zahraa explained the concept of physical and sports activities, which is any physical movement issued by the skeletal muscles and requires the disbursement of energy, so physical education is an integral part of the design of educational programs, recalling the most common ways to practice physical activity such as walking, cycling, sports of all kinds, performing recreational activities and motor games, adding that the most important goals of sports activities are physical, mental, social and emotional development.<\/p>\n

She also pointed to the most important factors affecting the development of social behavior are culture, family, school, friends, and communication sites.<\/p>\n

The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is raising the level of physical efficiency of students through exercises that develop the body and maintain proper strength, appreciating the importance of investing free time in some useful sports activities, spreading sports awareness directed to exercise to gain fitness and permanent activity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
