Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, honored Ali Mohammed Shaker, a fourth-year student at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, as one of the winners of the second edition of the Higher Education Reading Award for 2024.<\/p>\n

The University of Baghdad secured third place in the results of the award\u2019s examination, which included an evaluation based on the content of the books \u201cIslamic Perspectives on the Declaration of Human Rights\u201d by the martyr Muhammad Sadr (may his soul rest in peace) and \u201cThe Civilizational Question: How to Innovate Our Future in a Changing World\u201d by Zaki Milad.<\/p>\n

Zahra Mohammed Fadhil, a student from the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, earned third place with a score of 88, while Mohammad Al-Mustafa Abdelqader, a student from the College of Pharmacy, achieved fourth place with the same score of 88. Both Maryam Mohammed Fadhil from the College of Medicine at Al-Kindy University and Ali Mohammed Shaker from the College of Engineering attained high rankings in the competition, which saw the participation of 1,327 students from a wide range of scientific and humanities disciplines.<\/p>\n

In a speech at the awards ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education emphasized that the award initiative, now in its second consecutive year, offers an opportunity to reassess and strengthen public culture. He remarked that students have significantly contributed to comprehending its scientific and cultural implications, thus reinforcing the identity of society in all its dimensions. He further emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing undergraduate education and stressed the need for these programs to evolve from mere competitions into research environments that contribute to addressing the challenges faced by society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
