the Department of Sociology at the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad, organized a training workshop entitled: &#8220;The Role of Socialization Institutions in Confronting the Drug Phenomenon&#8221; in which Prof. Dr. Mayada Ahmed Al-Jeddah, lectured, in the presence of a number of professors and employees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop aimed to help socialization institutions, families, schools, and educational and media institutions in reducing the spread of drugs by introducing socialization institutions, and explaining the measures taken by these institutions to address the spread of drugs among members of society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop recommended the need to spread awareness of the harms of drugs and call for investing leisure time in useful work, choosing friends, honesty and closeness by the family to its children because the family assumes the main role in the spread or non-spread of the drug phenomenon if it joins hands with the school and follows up the children&#8217;s activities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the
