The Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Unit at the National Center for Population and Demographic Studies at the University of Baghdad held a workshop entitled (Mechanism for evaluating the annual performance of teachers in research centers) delivered by the teacher and unit official at the center, Dr. Raya Fadel Reda.<\/p>\n
The workshop aimed to explain the concept of performance evaluation, its importance and objectives, and the role of senior administrative leaders in developing and improving performance in order to raise the level of performance of workers in higher education institutions and improve university education for the better to reach the ranks of advanced international universities.<\/p>\n
The workshop dealt with explaining the criteria used in evaluation, and how to apply them when filling out the form. The lecturer during the workshop gave a detailed presentation of the steps that the teacher must follow in that specific standards and pay attention to the subject of publication in international repositories (Scopus) and participation in scientific activities through lectures and workshops, as well as participation in community service.<\/p>\n
The workshop recommended the need to adhere to the specified standards to ensure a fair evaluation process that contributes to improving academic and research performance.<\/p>\n
