The Dean of the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Ali Adnan Meshosh , welcomed the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Baghdad, Mr.Elbrus Kutrashev, along with a high-level delegation from the embassy. The visit was officially extended by the Dean’s Office of the College of Languages to attend the Cultural Festival of the Russian Language Department.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the meeting was to enhance students’ linguistic and academic capabilities in the Russian language and to encourage them to strive for further development in their language proficiency. The festival featured various activities, commencing with a speech by Prof.Dr. Meshosh, who addressed the establishment of the department, the number of students enrolled, the current undergraduate and master’s programs offered, as well as the agreements between the Russian and Iraqi sides.<\/p>\n

In turn, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation spoke about the embassy’s readiness to explore ways of cooperation with the Russian Language Department and the significant role they play in educating students and fostering their skills in the Russian language.<\/p>\n

The ceremony included various cultural and folkloric activities presented by students and professors under the supervision of the department’s administration and the cultural committee. Attendees expressed their delight at this international engagement witnessed by the College of Languages.
