The Center of Arabian Scientific Revival Heritage at the University of Baghdad, with the presence of several professors and researchers, held a scientific symposium entitled “The Political Effects on Migration between Tradition and Modernity.” The lecture was delivered by Dr. Hadi Jasib Mera’ab from the Migration Affairs Department.<\/p>\n
The symposium aimed to shed light on the political effects of migration, including the depletion of human resources and capabilities, as well as the exploitation of migrants both materially and morally, in addition to the risks associated with migration, especially illegal migration. In turn, Mera’ab, added that migration has various reasons, including economic factors such as seeking increased wealth or a better standard of living, as well as security concerns, either to escape danger or evade justice for crimes committed against others. Ultimately, human dignity remains contingent upon living within homeland, regardless of the circumstances.<\/p>\n
