The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad organized a lecture on the “Impact of Metoclopramide and Dexamethasone on Nausea and Vomiting during Spinal Anesthesia in Cesarean Section.” This initiative is part of the college’s ongoing commitment to contribute to women’s health and provide comprehensive healthcare services.
\nThe lecture aimed to demonstrate the effectiveness of 8 mg dexamethasone in preventing nausea during spinal anesthesia in cesarean sections. It also explored the safe use of a combination of 8 mg dexamethasone and 10 mg metoclopramide in managing nausea, vomiting, heart rate, and blood pressure in pregnant women undergoing spinal anesthesia. The lecture addressed the significant health issue of nausea and vomiting during anesthesia in patients undergoing cesarean section. It included testing the effectiveness of intravenous administration of 8 mg dexamethasone versus 10 mg metoclopramide in preventing nausea, vomiting, and monitoring vital signs in the current experiment.
