The Department of Islamic Philosophy, in cooperation with Continuing Education Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences has organized a scientific workshop entitled “Public Money and the Responsibility of Society in Protecting it” delivered by Dr. Abdul Hadi Mahmoud Al-Zaidi with the aim to emphasize the need for individuals to commit to preserving public money, as its benefit accrues to all of them without anyone taking it for himself, and the guardian is charged by God Almighty to protect this money and from attacking it, because of its power, authority, various agencies and public employees to preserve it, because on the assault on public money by employees and others in state agencies or the exploitation of their position that threatens social, economic and political security.<\/p>\n
The workshop dealt with the controls for dealing with public money, including: the officer taking into account the interest in spending: the interest is against the corrupt, and the disposal of public money must achieve the interest of Muslims, and the officer of justice in public spending: achieving justice in public money is a duty of entitlement and oath, and the officer of mediation in public spending: public spending is a middle ground between extravagance and thrift. At the end of the workshop, Dr. Abdul Hadi al-Zaidi recommended the need to work with the warning of Islamic law and not to exploit official positions in stealing public money, even if they are gifts given to them by others while they are in their jobs, and to choose competent officials, rationalize consumption – in order to preserve money – and prevent extravagance and waste, and punish anyone who takes the money of others in secret and concealment as a punishment for his bad deed, and legislate strict penalties for crimes of assault on public money.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
