The Venezuelan consul, Mr. Michael Lopez Sotto and the first secretary of embassy Mr. Robins Barrios visited the college of languages in the university of Baghdad. The visiting delegation discussed with the dean of college, Dr. Sawsan al – Samer and her assistants ways of developing academic and scientific relations between the college of languages and the Venezuelan universities. The Venezuelan party expressed its readiness to exchange of experiences and visits between faculty and receiving students from the department of Spanish language in training courses, granting scholarships for ph.d in Spanish language and intensive courses in the field of translation, giving lectures to the professors and students of department and participating in the cultural day with documentary movies in Spanish and translated into Arabic. The delegation’s tour included visiting the department of Spanish language and meeting its faculty. At the conclusion of the visit, the parties agreed on holding other meetings for activating the agreements to be concluded with the presidency of the university of Baghdad.
