{"id":31501,"date":"2022-02-03T09:25:08","date_gmt":"2022-02-03T06:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=31501"},"modified":"2022-02-03T09:25:08","modified_gmt":"2022-02-03T06:25:08","slug":"assistant-dean-of-the-institute-of-genetic-engineering-publishes-research-in-a-global-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=31501","title":{"rendered":"Assistant dean of the institute of genetic engineering publishes research in a global journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prof. Dr. Ismail Hussein Aziz, the assistant dean of the institute of genetic engineering and biotechnology for postgraduate studies has published recently a research paper entitled (The study of pharmacological efficacy of breast cancer treatments: Gemcitabine (GEM), 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) using pharmaceutical metal frames such as a Nanoscopy) that is derived from a thesis of a master student (Ali Khudhair Rassin) and published in the (International Journal of Biological Macromolecules) listed in Scopus database.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study aimed to develop and improve the therapeutic efficiency of Gemcitabine (GEM) and 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) and to reduce side effects using mil-100 nanocompound as a carrier. The results of the characterization confirmed the successful composition of the nanocarrier and the effect of hydrogene on the exit of Fluorouracil and GEM from (MIL-100) in addition to evaluating the anti-cancer activity of these nano transmitters through WST-1 analysis with the use of Acridine orange in MCF-7 human breast cancer cells and HUVEC control cells. The findings showed that all nano transmitters showed anti-cancer activity and induced apoptosis in MCF-7 cells and that MIL-100 can be used to deliver chemotherapy drugs, and chitosan-coated drugs with Quercetin that are useful for reducing toxicity in normal cells. The results also showed no correlation between ABCA1, body mass index (BMI) and age in breast cancer and the control group that is confirming the belief that the multifunctional nano transmitter is
