{"id":30196,"date":"2021-12-12T10:08:17","date_gmt":"2021-12-12T07:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=30196"},"modified":"2021-12-12T10:08:17","modified_gmt":"2021-12-12T07:08:17","slug":"workshop-on-the-effectiveness-of-antimicrobial-substances-at-the-institute-of-genetic-engineering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=30196","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on the effectiveness of antimicrobial substances at the institute of genetic engineering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Biological Technologies Branch at the institute of genetic engineering and biotechnologies for postgraduate studies at the University of Baghdad has organized a workshop on &#8220;The most important ways to measure the effectiveness of antimicrobial substances&#8221; via the FCC platform, delivered by Prof. Dr. Qais Qassim Gumaa with the participation of a number of researchers and professors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop aimed to introduce the most important methods used in detecting and estimating the effectiveness of the antimicrobial natural or synthetic substances that kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and algae. The professors tried to shed light on the latest developments in the field of modern devices and methods used in detecting the effectiveness of antibiotics in confronting bacteria and fungi such as the molecular methods that rely on the diagnosis of genes and mechanisms based on the measurement of absorption, which give accurate results and require less time when compared with traditional methods.
