The college of pharmacy at the University of Baghdad has recently organized an online workshop entitled “Bioequivalence Study Design” delivered by the lecturer Omar Saeb Saleh, a faculty member at the Pharmaceutical Branch via Zoom platform. The workshop discussed topics related to bioavailability and bioequivalence used in pharmacokinetics to assess the expected in vivo biological equivalence of two proprietary preparations of a drug, as well as measuring the proportion of medicine in the blood of donors in order to study the biovalence of a particular drug and compare it with medicines manufactured by the parent company leading to decide whether they can be regarded as an alternative for the treatment of patients in the future. Also the workshop included ways to study the statistical methods for measuring its variables and how they are interpreted to develop the findings of each method.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
