A number of members of the Iraqi parliament participated the joys of Baghdad University, marking the fifty four session of the foundation of the University, where this anniversary held. Baghdad University  is considered the first and giant Iraqi university, which is ever the oldest and largest Arabic university, and constitutes more than 40% of the reality of higher education in Iraq because it   includes Terms of reference of great scientific specialization<\/span>, compared<\/span> to other many Iraqi and Arab universities. <\/strong>It also   graduated and still graduate the greatest scientific talents of whom we are proud in the Middle East and the world, a group of scientists, artists, writers and politicians were graduated who were to attend the global level and promote higher positions like President of the Republic or the President of the University or the Minister etc. and the university has been and continues to achieve further humanitarian and scientific gains  globally .It  conforms with the finest universities in the world to provide the best science through educational curricula , methods and means of technology<\/span> for matching the best that exists in the world. Celebrating its fifty fourth session, the university enlarged the plans of acceptance of education, increased teaching and research, especially in graduate “diploma, master’s and doctoral degrees “in its different varieties of science and human studies. On this happy occasion, the university set up the activities and events in different faculties, institutes and research centers, a ceremony has been held in the courtyard of the university and flowers have been scattered to reflect the joy of this day with the participation of scientific and parliamentary personalities. Prof. Dr. Musa Jawad al-Moussawi, president of the  university received a number of Iraqi parliamentarians including Mr.Shirwan Al-Waa’ly,  Mr. Baqir Jabr Al-Zubaidi and Mr. Walid al-Hilli, this was expressed in the words of parliamentarians from the overwhelming joy and happiness on this occasion celebrated by all Iraqis and not only the university, because it represents the birth of science and academic knowledge in Iraq, The university was and still is the platform of scientific and which gave birth to all Iraqi universities, and even some Arab universities. President of Baghdad University gave a speech welcoming the participants and the audience, thanked the Iraqi lawmakers to <\/span>accept the <\/span> invitation to participate in the celebration of the university, presenting an overview of scientific and educational achievements of  the university in recent times, which did not stop one day, despite the exceptional circumstances experienced by the country, stressing that the university continues its march of scientific rising rapidly to provide the latest of their cabinets of science and knowledge. The celebration is planed to last for a week to cover more events and scientific and cultural activities.<\/span> <\/div>\n

The ceremonial first day has included the opening of a special exhibit of the university book and   press scientific releases of the various university departments and institutions, as well as has  included a commemorative exhibition of flowers in front of the presidency of the University in Jadiriyah.
