According to the last version of the Times World University Rankings 2022 by Subject that was issued recently, the University of Baghdad got the first place locally in the following subject areas: In clinical and health subject, it was ranked in the (+601) place out of 925 international universities and in the 1st<\/sup> place locally and jointly with two Iraqi universities. In computer science, it was ranked in the (801+) place out of 891 international universities and also it gained the first place locally, in conjunction with three Iraqi universities.<\/p>\n

In engineering disciplines, it was ranked in the (801-1000) place out of 1,188 international universities and in the first place locally in competition with four Iraqi universities. In life sciences, the University of Baghdad was ranked in the (801+) place out of 927 international universities and again in the first place locally when compared with three Iraqi universities. In physical sciences, it was ranked in the (1001+) place out of 1,277 international universities, getting the 3rd<\/sup> place locally. Finally in law, it was ranked in the (201+) place out of 251 international universities and it gained the first place at the Iraqi level since \u00a0it is the only university that has entered this category for the first time this year. It is noteworthy that the Times World University Rankings 2022 by Subject measures the academic performance based on a range of indicators as in the following: Teaching: the learning environment (32.7 per cent), Research: volume, income and reputation (29.8 per cent), Citations: research influence (27.5 per cent), International outlook: staff, students and research (7.5 per cent) and Industry income: innovation (2.5 per cent).<\/p>\n
