The college of arts at the University of Baghdad has participated recently in the proceedings of a training workshop for professors and those interested in peace and conflict studies organized and sponsored by the Iraqi Al-Amal Association in collaboration with the Danmission Independent Christian Missionary Organization in Denmark. The aim of this event was to introduce the principles and characteristics of peace studies & theories as well as conflict transformation, models of conflict analysis with reference to the Iraqi situation at present. The assistant dean for the administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Suhaila Najm Abd al-Ibrahimi, the Assist. Prof. Dr. Athmar Kazim Suhail from the department of history and Dr. Mohammed Ghazi Sabbar from the department of sociology.<\/p>\n
