Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad held an extensive meeting with the Directorate of Dormitories in the presence of all supervisors and members of student internal departments. He stressed at first that the university would adopt a new plan for student housing at the coming academic year by raising the number of residents to 25% from the start September 1, so the students can apply from now on to reside in student complexes, while students of the medical disciplines would be received on September 5, and the admission of the postgraduate students would start on September 10 and the undergraduate students can apply on October 12.<\/p>\n

Also the rector confirmed concluding an agreement with the ministry of electricity to continuously equip electric power for all student housing complexes, namely the Veterinary Medicine Housing Complex and the Cooperation Housing Complex in Bab al-Moatham, as well as the Al-Jadriya Housing Complex for Women. Prof. Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, the director of the dormitories at the University of Baghdad stated that an online application portal is now at hand to all students who want to request residences and this is happening for the first time in Iraq in order to save time and effort. Then the rector talked about a number of administrative matters such as the reconstruction of some university’s buildings before the onset of the coming year, exploitation of spaces, maintenance of electrical appliances, in addition to undertake a store inventory<\/span><\/span><\/span> and an asset disclosure<\/span>, stressing the need to preserve public money and furniture, and praised working in the spirit of one team and honoring distinguished employees. At the conclusion of this meeting, Prof. Dr. Munir al-Saadi appreciated the administrative and qualitative change witnessed at the dormitories under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Omar Hassan and his team, stressing that this change happened as a result of a new visionary policy adopted to manage them and that had a very clear and tangible impact on the ground during the last academic year.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”5″ images=”28934,28933,28932,28931,28935,28936,28930,28929,28927,28926″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
