A delegation of Master’s students from the Institute of Genetic Engineering of Biotechnologies at the University of Baghdad headed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ashwaq al-Hashimi has recently visited the Center for Environmental Research of the Department of Environment and Water at the Ministry of Science and Technology.<\/p>\n
The aim of the visit was to keep abreast with the most important scientific laboratories at the center and to discuss the prospects of mutual cooperation between the two sides in medical and industrial matters. The postgraduate students expressed their intent to conduct some experiments at the center in fulfillment of the requirements of their research in addition to benefit from the expertise of the scientific cadres and specialists working there. They also visited the Department of Environmental Pollutants and met its director Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab, then visiting the Biotaminal Research Division and exchanged talks with Dr. Hassan Kazim Nimr, whose work is to detect and diagnose bacteria in traditional & molecular methods via using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique and Electrical Relay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
