published a patent on extracting the genetic material of Toxocara canis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Prof. Dr. Shuruq Muhammad Kazim Saad al-Din, a lecturer from the institute of genetic engineering and biotechnology for postgraduate studies published a patent approved from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) at the ministry of planning entitled: \u201cA new method for extracting the genetic material of Toxocara canis in its adult stage by adding Dithiothreitol (DTT) to the traditional organic method.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The patent dealt with the problem of extracting the genetic material of T. canis whose difficulty lies in the composition of the outer surface cells of the parasite&#8217;s biological wall consisting of collagen (cuticle), as well as the lack of a specialized molecular laboratory test in all Iraqi governmental and private hospitals to diagnose this
