Lecturer Wisam Dhari Jalal\/ Department of Physics, College of Science, University of Anbar<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Design and construction setup of High resolution laser spectroscopy for assignment of kidney stone. Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is a high resolution spectroscopy which used for assignment of kidney stone elements which is a chemo metric method. This method is a direct (no specimen preparation requirement) and rapid spectra-chemical analysis technique that use a short laser pulse of Q-switching Nd-YAG laser with 1064 nm wavelength and pulse duration 9 ns with energy (180, 200, 300, and 400) mJ. The important experimental parameters such as the laser\u00a0 energy, distance between the lens and sample (10cm) and angle of the optical fiber from the sample at (45<sup>o<\/sup>) were optimized. The short laser pulse is enough to create a micro-plasma on the sample surface.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0The emission spectrum of kidney stone elements were analyzed by using spectrum analyzer (Thorlabs) model CCS 100\/M made with spectrum range from (320-720) nm , optical resolution about (0.5)nm and time integration 800\u03bcs. This study showed that the LIBS is quick and precise technique to measure atomic and ionic emission spectra for different samples sex (male and female) and different ages and sizes with help of using (NIST) database and don&#8217;t need to preparation for the sample.
