The college of medicine, in collaboration with the American Holland Foundation for Regenerative Medicine, has organized recently a scientific symposium on the use of stem cells in the treatment of various incurable diseases on Thursday, April 15, 2021, under the auspices and presence of the rector of the University of Baghdad Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and in the presence of deans of the colleges of medicine, heads of scientific branches and faculty members.<\/p>\n

The seminar included a scientific lecture delivered by Dr. Thamir Kazim Jassim al-Saidee, director of the main branch of Holland Foundation in Iraq and the Middle East, during which he gave an overview of this modern phase of treatment and the urgent need for its use in Iraqi health institutions that is of utmost importance and how to provide a sound training and rehabilitation for our medical staff in this vital technique through an integrated cooperation and mutual coordination with the academic staff at the colleges of medicine at the University of Baghdad in order to provide specific medical advice. It is noteworthy that Dr. Thamir al-Saidee is a prominent Iraqi physician specialized in regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy and a graduate of the college of medicine since 1973.<\/p>\n
