NASA Makes Use of our University Scientists <\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

  The confident steps that University of Baghdad planned for , comes to be fruitful day after day, with very precise strategy towards intellectual ,humanitarian academic advancement .Thus the biggest international institutions of science and education publish in their scientific referred journals of the “Impact Factor” researches of our university scientists , and perhaps the last international academic institutions adopted is that of NASA American Space which adopted a joint research carried out by our university scientists that is entitled : <\/p>\n

  Where a group of electrosight in the Department of Physics, college of Science – University of Baghdad, accomplish this research and has been published in the “The European Physical Journal – Applied” The research is by Professor Dr. Abdullah Mohsen Sohail , instructor Nada Mohammed Saeed and assistant teacher Omar Adnan Ibrahim from the college of Science and with the participation of the researcher Assistant teacher Manal Jabbar Khalifa, University of Wasit.<\/p>\n

  Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein,president of the university explained during a meeting with a website team that the university has a lot of scientific researches published in international journals “Impact Factor” and is going to prepare a new generation of specialized scientists in advanced science and scientists of the University are continuing their scientific experiences that we always strive to provide academic atmosphere for their completion, through the support of the Ministry and its sponsorship of the creators and to be assessed according to academic perspective.We are preparing very developed scientific labs according to our scientific and cultural agreements with major universities and international institutions to provide the best support for our researchers at the university. <\/p>\n

  On the other hand we have received many letters from Iraqi researchers who are graduates of the University of Baghdad ,or who are residing in the European countries to complete their doctoral studies ,want to highlight their scientific researches that gained superior estimates and published in the highest international journals of the impact factor .The website seeks to publish more topics pertaining to researchers and scientists of University of Baghdad and tries to get copies of the journals in order to make them \u200b\u200bavailable to students at the university and scientific libraries. <\/p>\n

  The website publishes a summary and preliminary about the research that has been published,and which many of the websites addressed as a distinctive international research. <\/p>\n

Abstract<\/strong> <\/p>\n

  The generation of white light from CdS nanoparticles (NPs) illuminated by UV-LED is presented. The synthesis of CdS nanoparticles from the reaction of CdCl2 and the sulfur dissolved in oleylamine in 1:2 mole ratio was used in the preparation of CdS nanocrystalline. The PMMA film doped with CdS nanoparticles was prepared. The generation of white light was found from illumination of the CdS\/polymer composite film by UV-LED of power 5 mW at λ = 385 nm. The white light generation mechanism was explaining depending on mixing colors from the illuminated CdS nanoparticles. The surface levels formed in the CdS optical energy band due to nanostructure was estimated from Poisson equation designed for this state. The chromaticity coordinates of the generated white light was measured by the help of photoluminescence (PL) spectrum and the correlated color temperature was found to be about 4000 K. <\/p>\n
