Assist. Prof. Khalida Hamid Tisgam, a lecturer at the department of English language at the college of education for women has translated the poem Paradise of Nothingness authored by Ahmed Abdul Hussein, an Iraqi poet and journalist who was born in 1966 and studied at the college of fine arts. This translated text was published in Eurolitkrant European literary journal, combining distinctive voices in poetry, fiction, translation and is publishing the most important poetic works in various languages from different parts of the world.<\/p>\n

It is noteworthy that Assist. Prof. Khalida Hamid has authored more than 15 translated books issued by international publishing houses, dozens of articles and cultural studies in various Iraqi and Arab literary journals, also is a member of the editorial board of a number of Iraqi and Arab cultural journals, in addition to receiving many awards at the local level, including the Best Translated Book Award in Iraq dedicated by the ministry of higher education and scientific research.<\/p>\n
