The department of Quranic sciences at the college of education for humanities (Ibn Rushd) held recently a virtual workshop on “Brain-based education and the educational applications” delivered by Assist. Lecturer Amir Jawad. The lecturer tried to identify the most important educational applications of this theory as well as keeping pace with the rapid development in modern education theories that deal with teaching methods, lesson designs as well as school programs that are based on the latest scientific research and notions on how the brain learns knowledge, including factors such as cognitive development, i.e, how students learn differently as they grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively.<\/p>\n

The lectures included a presentation of the advantages of such brain-based education and the most prominent recommendations in this regard, including the need to establish courses that enable teachers and instructors to acquire related skills in order to enhance the educational outputs and curricula at the faculties of education, as well as adopting them within the requirements of obtaining jobs in various educational institutions.<\/p>\n
