The Ibn Sina e-learning unit, in collaboration with the continuing education unit at the college of science has organized recently an online training course entitled “Writing scientific research via Latex software” in the presence of a number of professors, students of graduate and postgraduate studies interested in computer mathematics.<\/p>\n

The course was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Hassan Abdullah with the aim to introduce the best methods for document preparation using latex software system which is one of the most modern tool for the publication of scientific documents in many fields, including mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, physics, economics, linguistics, quantitative psychology, philosophy, and political science. I can be used in any format, especially by scholars who need to write documents that include complex math expressions or non-Latin scripts in a professional way.\u00a0 Then the lecturer talked about how to setup this software, adding data, images, tables, writing mathematical equations as well as how to use the BibTeX reference management software for formatting lists of references.<\/p>\n
