Dr. Saba Jassim, a lecturer at al-Kindy college of medicine has given a lecture on “Antibiotic resistance during Covid-19” with the aim to raise awareness among the community about the misuse of antibiotics by Iraq people, explaining that they should not be taken except in difficult cases and according to the protocols adopted by World Health Organization (WHO). The lecturer stressed that the excessive use of antibiotics during the current pandemic to prevent bacterial infection could intensify drug resistance that is something scientists don’t recommend.<\/p>\n
