{"id":17904,"date":"2018-11-06T12:00:51","date_gmt":"2018-11-06T09:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=17904"},"modified":"2019-01-28T09:12:27","modified_gmt":"2019-01-28T06:12:27","slug":"tnf-alpha-level-a-marker-for-ivermectin-induced-immune-modulation-against-bovine-ocular-sequamous-cell-carcinoma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=17904","title":{"rendered":"TNF-alpha Level, a Marker for Ivermectin Induced Immune Modulation Against Bovine Ocular Sequamous Cell Carcinoma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inventor: Prof. Dr. Amer Marham Abd\/College of veterinary medicine, University of Baghdad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Promectin (Ivermectin 1%) which be chemically extracted from soil microorganism belongs to some kind of bacteria named Streptomyces avermitilis medically used in treatment of internal parasites as nematodes and larval stage of nasal bot fly and external parasites and ticks, lice and mites in cats , dogs , cattle , sheep and goats by subcutaneous injection at a dose of 2oo \u03bcgm\/kgBt. Forty cattle included in this experiment, twenty were non infected and, other twenty were infected with eye cancer in different degrees of infection between sever and slight and depend up on the latent diagnosis and the kind of medication which applied by other veterinarian result in unsuccess treatment. Statistical analysis of the results was revealed presence of slight elevation in total count of white blood cells, so the mean of values before treatment was (5.390 \u00b1 1.052 ) cells\/mm3 of blood and after treatment reached to (6.490 \u00b1 0.422) cells\\mm3 of blood . Also significant elevation ( P&lt;0.05 ) in lymphocytes rate has been noticed so, the mean of values before treatment was (%33.500 \u00b1 3.2 ) and reached to ( %60.6 \u00b110.830 ) after treatment. So, the results revealed presence of significant depression at (P&lt;0.05 ) in the mean of values of TNF-alpha in cattle serum ( control group ) reached to (6.5 \u00b1 3.1 ) ng\/Liter, and ( treated group ) before treatment was (14.9 \u00b1 0.48 ) ng \/Liter and, after treatment was (10.1 \u00b11.1 ) ng\/Liter. The correlation factor between TNF-alpha before and after treatment was revealed negative correlation between the level of TNF-alpha in the serum with disease development and clearance.
