The course began with a welcoming address delivered by director of the center, Prof. Dr. Nada Abdul Sahib al-Alwan who talked about the strategic objectives of the center, management of its database, information storage system for patients with breast cancer under the auspices of the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization (WHO). Then Prof. Dr. Jawad al-Diwan, head of department of community medicine at the faculty of medicine, University of Baghdad gave a historical overview of the statistical software and its role in analysis and documentation of research findings. Director of studies, planning and follow-up unit at the center Baidaa Riad shed light on the variables of this software.
