Chemical Engineering Department Presents scientific symposium with the title (Conversion of Heavy Petroleum Residues)<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

 Chemical Engineering Department started a scientific symposium with the title (Conversion of Heavy Petroleum Residues) introduced by members of the teaching staff in the department. <\/p>\n

The topics discussed represented some of the basic and important oil industries in Iraq and in other countries. These topics were: <\/p>\n

    \n
      \n
    1. Flow diagrams for crude oil refining by Prof. Dr. Abdulhaleem Abdulkarim <\/li>\n
    2. Conversion of petroleum residues by thermal processes Prof. Dr. Abdulhaleem Abdulkarim <\/li>\n
    3. Isodewaxing and isofinishing technologies by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Salih Abbas. <\/li>\n
    4. Deep cracking of petroleum residues by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Qasim Hussien. <\/li>\n
    5. \tHydrocrcking of petroleum residue by Lect. Dr. Khalid Khazaal Humadi <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

       Participants from the Ministries of Oil, Electricity, Industry and Minerals, Science and Technology and Higher Education and Scientific Research had joined the symposium. <\/p>\n

      Most of these participants had worked in the field of oil industry. They were very interested and presented their ideas, problems and suggestions. They discussed the different subjects of the symposium thoroughly with the lecturers. <\/p>\n

       The Chemical Engineering Department will continue his work and efforts to present specialized symposiums and lectures in the different fields of chemical engineering. This will strengthen the interrelating relations with the ministries providing healthy environment to develop the scientific work.
