Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein, president of University of Baghdad congratulated the professors and employees for the excellence achieved by our university over other Iraqi universities in QS University Rankings for the academic year (2016-2017) after completing all the scientific and academic requirements according to global standards to gain this merit. In an interview with the university website team, the rector attributed this achievement to the tireless efforts and dedication of university staff represented by its distinguished professors, scholars and members as well as the developments and improvements taking place in the university recently for updating its infrastructure which in turn contributed in creating a better academic scientific environment and that reflected on the quality of scientific outputs to serve our community. Baghdad University has surpassed (50) ranks in QS University Rankings published by Quacquarelli Symonds so it gained the (601) rank for the current academic year (2016-2017) while it had the (651) rank last year and it occupied the 15th rank among Arab universities at the regional level. It Is worth mentioned that this classification depended on the academic discipline in five specializations, namely arts & humanities, engineering & technology, life sciences and medicine, natural and social & management sciences. University of Baghdad has numerous research centers and scientific institutions associated with colleges and university presidency that contributed in this superiority over all Iraqi universities and most universities in the Arab world. University website and TV channel office extends congratulations and blessings to all students, professors and members for this new academic victory.<\/p>\n
