The governmental program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for 2018-2020 aims to achieve 5 main objectives by implementing 85 projects and more than 130 programs as follows:<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 The entry of Iraqi universities into international rankings through 4 projects sponsored by the Supervisory & Scientific Evaluation Body, the Department of Research and Development and the Department of Reconstruction and Projects.<\/p>\n

2 – Twinning of Iraqi universities with international universities through 24 projects sponsored by the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations, Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Department of Research and Development and the Department of Reconstruction and Projects.<\/p>\n

3 – Reducing sagging and spreading an academic atmosphere, research, university life and raising scientific standards through 44 projects sponsored by the Department of Missions and Public Relations, Supervisory & Scientific Evaluation Body, Department of Legal and Administrative Affairs, Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Department of Research and Development and the Department of Reconstruction and Projects.<\/p>\n

4 – Establishing private universities with international quality and standards as well as promoting parallel education through 9 projects sponsored by the Department of Private Education, Department of Legal and Administrative Affairs and the Department of Research and Development.<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 Investment via the expansion of public colleges and raising their scientific and academic levels in cooperation with the Iraqi and foreign private sector through 4 projects sponsored by the Department of Private Education, Department of Government Contracts, Department of Financial Affairs and the Supervisory & Scientific Evaluation Body.<\/p>\n
