We, the University of Baghdad, are an integrated system of esteemed educational, research, and service institutions. We believe that human development is the foundation for cultivating generations capable of leading society and building the nation. Our university is distinguished by its scholars and innovators, with a mission rooted in learning, education, research, and community service. This is achieved through a stimulating academic environment, exceptional human resources, and curricula aligned with labor market demands. Our goal is to produce qualified graduates, engage actively with society, and foster partnerships that promote sustainable development. We affirm the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge and actively compete globally.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strategic Objectives of the University of Baghdad<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The strategic goal is to enhance the readiness of the University\u2019s entities to excel now and in the future, and to achieve a qualitative shift in their strategic performance in accordance with global standards. This is pursued within a framework of genuine citizenship and leadership across various academic, educational, and research roles, as well as through community service and its advancement. It also aims to elevate the university\u2019s standing in global university rankings while striking a balance between modern trends in higher education and the preservation of originality, as reflected in the nation\u2019s fundamental principles and values. In line with this strategic goal, several specific strategic objectives can be identified as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Attracting, qualifying, and developing human resources to enable them to keep pace with accelerating developments in various fields of work.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Administrative development and improving work methods toward electronic governance and supporting university autonomy.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Maximizing the university’s financial resources to achieve integration with limited government funding.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Enhancing the university’s capabilities and sustainability.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Developing undergraduate and graduate curricula according to global competitiveness standards.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Adopting contemporary teaching methods that enhance the teaching and learning process and develop students’ creative thinking and research.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Merging or establishing academic departments, branches, centers, and programs according to labor market requirements and societal needs.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Developing scientific research and directing it to serve society.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Publishing scientific outputs within reputable international databases and repositories.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Marketing applied research.<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Ensuring quality and academic performance in line with global competitiveness standards and achieving advanced rankings.<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Obtaining programmatic and institutional academic accreditation.<\/span><\/li>\n
