Lecture on microbiological and bio- electrochemical methods at the college of education for pure sciences (Ibn Al-Haitham)

The teacher Dr. Mohamed Abbas Fayadh from the college of education for pure science (Ibn Al-Haitham) at the university of Baghdad delivered a scientific lecture that dealt with his doctoral thesis, as well as his achievements in many researches published in international journals with Impact Factor within the cultural season of the department of biology at the college. The lecture included several key areas such as “invented microbiological and bio- electrochemical methods to promote decomposition of phenol by the use of new bacterial isolates”. The lectureaimed to address the problem of pollutants by alicyclic aromatic compounds which are one of the chemical contaminated aggregates of many water environments, soil and air in the world, resulted from waste of various factories dumped intentionally or unintentionally despite many warnings and strict laws enacted by environmental protection organizations. The second axis in this study is the development of a method of isolation and screening towards more economical use of tools, chemicals with short of time and high precision with the adoption of Elisa plates (of 96 holes) for testing of bacterial isolates rather than conical jugs or test tubes. It is worth mentioned that Mohamed Abbas Fayadh has completed his doctoral thesis with excellence degree by scholarship from the Indian council for cultural relations, Anna university, Tamil Nadu, India.
