Mr. president of Baghdad university, professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasool, discussed ways to enhance the scientific and cultural cooperation and educational exchanges with Hungarian universities. This came during a meeting with the Hungarian ambassador in Iraq, which included a review of education in the university and activities that the university is keen to held annually. The Hungarian ambassador expressed his hope to expand cooperation with Baghdad university indicating that his government has allocated (70) scholarships for graduate studies in master’s and doctoral degrees to Iraqi students who wish to study in Hungary. Finally his excellency, the ambassador announced the intention of some Hungarian professors to visit the university of Baghdad to deliver lectures.
