Minister of higher education calls for updating curriculum and staff development at the colleges of dentistry during a meeting attended by Baghdad university

  The college of dentistry, university of Baghdad, participated in the meeting of the committee of deans of colleges of dentistry, sponsored by the minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Hussain al-Shahristani in order to evaluate these colleges, develop their academic career in the field of dentistry in Iraq and to keep abreast of their needs to provide the necessary support for. Al-Shahristani said in his speech with the deans of faculties of dentistry in Iraqi universities that was reported by the ministry website: “the colleges of dentistry in Iraqi universities must keep pace with the scientific development through participation in conferences, international forums and the involvement of researchers in qualitative courses held in discreet international universities to benefit from the scientific experience, teaching methods adopted in dentistry to prepare new generations of graduates in this field to serve and develop their community”. Minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Hussain Al-Shahristani called for updating curricula and development of teaching staff. This meeting included discussion of the curriculum of such faculties and the importance of communication with others, as well as discussing new ones, coordination with the ministry of health to set up training courses for students at medical centers and clinics, also addressing the inequality in the distribution of instructors relative to the numbers of students in the colleges of dentistry in various Iraqi universities.
