In an unprecedented achievement, Dr. Alaa Abdullah Falah, an instructor from the college of physical education gained the award of the international federation of fencing for being one of the best three referees in the world for 2014 season since this federation allocates an annual award and an international diploma for the best three international referees to qualify them for membership in the international group of elite referees for the coming season 2015. Assistant professor Dr. Alaa Abdullah Falah expressed his thanks and gratitude to the deanery of the college for its support and encouragement constantly in any endeavor that its distinguished professors undertake so that to entrench one of the objectives of the college and the university of Baghdad in supporting science and scientists.
