A Lecture copes with modernity in electrical engineering at the University of Baghdad and the choosing of a faculty member as a scientific rectifier to one of the international journals

  Mr. Saad Isa Sarsam a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering, college of Engineering / University of Baghdad, has been chosen as a scientific rectifier and a member of the editing board of “International Journal of Scientific Research in the body of knowledge,” issued by the publication office of World journal for scientific researches in Malaysia. This refereed scientific journal is considered an impact factor of 3.09 the so-called (Impact factor) is a scale of the importance of the refereed scientific journals in their research specialization and reflects the reference of the new researches over the previously published in this journal and cited it . Noting that “Eugene Garfield” is the one who invented the impact factor and he is also the founder of the Scientific Institute of Information ISI. Some of the current institutions , as “Thomson Reuters” numerates the impact factors annually for refereed scientific journals recorded then published in what is known as the reports of the quotation of journals where the classification of journals is made according to impact factors . On the other hand, the representative of one of the global companies concerned with the electric power in Iraq, a lecture on the latest scientific developments in this area, as part of the activities held by the Department of Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering of the academic year 2014-2015. Engineer Mahmood Jamal Al-Jibouri , who is the representative of the International company has given a presentation on the new products of the international companies in electrical engineering and has displayed a summary of his recent potentials of his company and its previous executive works and the future plans The researcher has reviewed the leading products in manufacturing the test devices and modern scientific laboratories which are used in the fields of electrical engineering represented by electrical power disciplines and control, machinery, computers, electronics and communications. At the end of the lecture the engineer has answered the queries posed to him by the audience of students and faculty members and those involved in energy with respect to the development of existing laboratories in the Department of Electrical Engineering and the creation of modern laboratories for postgraduate Studies.
