A study in Baghdad university / college of nursing has preferred the possibility of recovering cardiac disease patients in case of their commitment to the therapeutic instructions
A study conducted at the college of nursing / university of Baghdad has summed up to the possibility of recovery from cardiac diseases in case when the patients are committed to the therapeutic recommendations as well as the other social and economic factors that affect the health of the patient. The study that has been reported by the website of the college has confirmed the importance of cardiac diseases and blood vessels and described it as a global health problem that affect millions of people around the world as well as the impact on people of all ages and not limited to the elderly. The researchers of the college has conducted cross-sectional and descriptive study in the center of Najaf of cardiac diseases in Al-Sadr medical town, as from the fifth of June 2013 to the tenth of April 2014 to assess the patients’ commitment of treatment recommendations after being infected by cardiac diseases resulting from a lack of perfusion and determine the relationship between factors related to the patients, the factors related to the disease and treatment, the social and economic factors and the extent of the commitment of the patients of therapeutic recommendations. The researchers of the college has selected unlikely sample “ intentional” of (102) patients suffering from cardiac diseases resulting from a lack of perfusion, whom visited Al-Sadr medical town / center of Najaf of cardiac surgery and diseases, the information has been collected through the use of the questionnaire that has been developed after identifying its validity by using the technology of open dialogue with patients, and has identified the stability of the questionnaire form by a mini-study, and its credibility has been identified through a set of (15) experts, and the data has been described and analyzed using descriptive statistical and deductive techniques. The findings of the study has shown that the final evaluation of patients’ commitment of treatment recommendations was acceptable as well as the final evaluation of the factors that affecting the patients’ commitment of treatment recommendations was good. The researchers also has found that there is significant correlation among the factors related to the patients , and the factors related to treatment, disease, and the social and economic factors and the extent to which the patients are committed to therapeutic recommendations after being infected by cardiac disease resulting from a lack of perfusion. The findings of the study has shown that the final evaluation of patients’ commitment of treatment recommendations was acceptable as well as the final evaluation of the factors that affecting the patients’ commitment of treatment recommendations was good.
