Ukrainian ambassador in Iraq visits the university of Baghdad
The scientific assistant of the president of the university of Baghdad, assistant professor Dr. Osama Fadhil Abdul Latif received and welcomed the Ukrainian ambassador in Iraq, Anatoli Merintis. The two parties addressed the development of scientific and cultural relations and the scientific assistant stated that our university seeks to develop relations with Ukraine in the fields of science, culture and all international universities, The Ukrainian ambassador expressed his happiness to visit the university of Baghdad and his desire to develop the relations between Baghdad university and Ukrainian universities. The scientific assistant gave an overview about the history of the university, its faculties and how to prepare students in primary and higher studies, its size and administrative staff. They also addressed ways to enhance cooperation and increase cultural and scientific ties between Ukrainian universities and our university via intellectual and scientific communication, especially in rare specializations needed by the researcher, professor and student at Baghdad university since it seeks for twinning with major international universities to be in line with the developed world. From his part, the Ukrainian ambassador spoke highly of the good relations between the university and the scientific institutions of Ukraine and he gave thanks for the warm welcome he recieved. The two sides discussed ways of strengthening ties and scientific cooperation between them.
