Director of the heritage center at the university of Baghdad opens prospects for mutual cooperation with the ministry of culture in a meeting with the director of Dar al-Mamoon for publishing and printing


To enhance the cultural relations between the university and the ministry of culture, the assistant professor Dr. Abdullah Hamid al-Etabi, director of the canter for revival of Arab scientific heritage at the university of Baghdad met the director general of Dar al-Mamoon for publishing, printing and translation at the ministry of culture, prof. Dr. Alaa Abu al-Hassan Isma’il al-Allaq. They discussed ways of scientific and cultural cooperation permanently through coordination between these two institutions. Dr. Al-Allaq expressed his interest to entrust the professors at the Arabic scientific heritage center to author a book about the cultural, ideological, civilized and urban heritage of Baghdad and translating it to English, French, German, Russian and Spanish. Also it was also agreed that a joint seminar between the university of Baghdad and the ministry of culture would be held under the title (the cultural heritage of Mosul … a historical vision) in the last week of November next to expose the crimes of “Daash” and their terrorist operations in Mosul and their effects on its heritage and manuscripts, as well as the resting places of the prophets and saints.
