Book Wings theatrical experience between the university of Baghdad and Iowa university, U.S.

 
The university of Baghdad worked on a very important literary, artistic and theatrical experience with an invitation from the university of Iowa, U.S for cooperation where important theatrical shows were presented by the department of artistic education and the department of university sports at the university of Baghdad with contribution of the department of theater at the university of Iowa, by presenting three plays by each side via internet for the first time in the Middle East after the participation of Russia and China. Preparations and exercises continued for two months till 7:30 p.m. The three lays were directed by D. Mohammed Aziz Hassan, director of the department of art education and director of the university theater at the university of Baghdad. The participants were Safana Thabit, director of the Arabic Language unit, Rana Jassim as a pianist, Ammar Ali who wrote one of the plays and Amir Sati as students from the college of mass communication, where from the American side each play was directed by one director and played by separate team so the Iraqi team was a model working without any financial costs by use of decoration materials available in the department such as cork, chairs, portraits and pottery also D. Mohammed Aziz and Mr. Iyad Adil were responsible of lighting, the director of the central library,  Ms. Aida, exerted great efforts for transferring this event online with a high quality. The university of Iowa considered the Iraqi experience as the most distinctive, beautiful and powerful one. Dr. Mohammed Kazim gave everything for supporting the team and the show was downloaded on YouTube Book Wings: Iraq. Within other activities, the art activities unit at the college of education for women in coordination with the department of university sport and art education at the university held it annual exhibition coinciding with the anniversary of the university day including paintings, handicrafts by the students of the college of education for women in the presence of assistant dean of the college and director of art division at the university sports department, Dr. Mohammed Aziz and a number of university members.
