College of Islamic sciences at the university of Baghdad holds a scientific conference and an ideological symposium on civilization


The college of Islamic sciences at the university of Baghdad held its 8th scientific conference sponsored by the dean of the college, prof. Dr. Mohammad Jawad Mohammed Saeed al-Turaihi under the slogan (Holy Quran: a map for development and construction). The dean stressed in a speech at the opening ceremony that ” the conference seek a number of objectives, notably to show the greatness of the Quranic procedure to form the contemporary human character, showing its impact on developing contemporary man and his mentality and showing the integrated human example that embodies the Quranic procedure in a way compatible with the human instinct. The researches participated in that conference reached (54) in number from various Iraqi universities. On the other hand, the department of civilization and Islamic monuments at the college of Islamic sciences organized an ideological symposium entitled (Malik bin Nabi and the question of civilization) in continuation of the scientific seminars and workshops held at the college in the presence of its dean Dr. Mohamed al-Turaihi. The symposium started with a lecture by Dr. Saeb Abdul Hamid who reviewed the topics of the historic event and a civilization, studying the first natural community that was not related with civilization, stating that the community that leads civilization is the one that can acquire and absorb from others unlike the other that is in a case of a civilized death. The researcher dealt with culture that gives strength to community and said that ” Malik bin Nabi ” thought that civilization varies from time to time since a moment witnesses the birth of a thought that is ​giving power to all members of society, so it is the birth of the whole community. Also the researcher addressed the Islamic civilization and its birth with  the prophecy, then he talked about the battle of “Saffin” that have changed the social life, describing it as the beginning of a new phase in the Islamic civilization.  After the end of the symposium, the audience asked questions on the subject concerned.
