The national center for cancer research hosts the engineering team responsible for establishment of Ibn Sina educational hospital

The pioneer national center of cancer researches at the university of Baghdad hosted the engineering team responsible for establishing Ibn Sina hospital with  the meeting of the advisory medical committee supervising on designing, implementing and managing university hospitals and research centers related to the ministry of higher education and scientific research, headed by the center’s director prof. Dr. Nada Abdul Sahib al-Alwan and membership of prof. Dr. Azzam Kanbar Agha, head of the department of surgery at the college of medicine, prof. Dr. Adnan al-Jubouri, former head of esoteric department, prof. Dr. Walid Mustafa specialized in heart surgery, prof. Dr. Abdul Razak al-Naqash, head of department of women, assistant prof. Dr. Hassan Karim, chairman of the Iraqi council of pediatric surgery, assistant prof. Dr. Faris al-Lami, head of the department of community medicine, Dr. Munawar al-Naqash, director of the educational hospital of tumors and Dr. Kifah Hamdan specialized in pathology. The meeting included the participation of Osama Qamar, head of the engineering department, representative of the technical committee in the department of reconstruction and projects and Dr. Joseph Haboush, Thia al-Musawi and the teacher Haydar Salah, representatives of Hill International company. The minister of higher education and scientific research, prof. Ali Mohamed Hussein al-Adeeb lied the foundation of this hospital with a capacity of 600 beds on an area of ​​106 acres in Bayaa medical complex, providing services to citizens directly as an educational and research center the first of its kind in Iraq, considered as a starting point towards developing scientific capabilities and knowledge in the educational system to service community that will be the first nucleus for establishment of medical universities in Mosul and Karbala. This complex will include the colleges of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, advisory clinics and emergency. The department of  reconstruction and projects in the ministry of higher education and scientific research is supervising on establishing this hospital.
