The team of the college of law is qualified to participate in global (Gesb) contest

The team of the college of law at the university of Baghdad participated in (Philip S. Gesb) contest for the virtual court of international law in 2014 organized by the social and cultural center of Salahaddin university in Arbil. The team consists of five students from the 5th and 2nd stages, Saja Abdul Karim, Thuha Imad Wasmi, Ayat Muhammad Hassan, Mais Abdul Hassan Jassim and Raghda Essam Ahmed while the assistant prof. Dr. Hadi Naim al-Maliki, head of the department of international law at the college was the coach of this team. Twelve teams participated from the Iraqi universities (Baghdad, Dhi Qar, Karbala, Kufa, Wasit, Anbar, Salah al-Din, Dahuk, Sulaymaniyah, Koya, the Islamic University in Najaf and the Iraqi university). The contest ended with the qualification of the team of the college of law after beating the team of Salahaddin university after gaining the 2nd rank this year which qualifies it to travel to U.S. to compete in world (Gesb) contest with other law colleges around the world which will be held at (D.C) in April.
