The university of Baghdad participates in a scientific conference at the federal republic of Germany

Prof. Dr. Essam Fadhel Alwan, from the institute of genetic engineering at the university of Baghdad participated in a scientific conference on thermophilus microorganisms held in Salisbury, Germany. Researches were delivered on microorganisms that live in temperatures higher than 100 m,  producing hydrocarbon compounds and proteins that can be used in the chemical industry along with researches on molecular biology and genetic engineering to transfer the genes responsible for these traits to organisms that can not bear such circumstances in order to take advantage of them in producing such proteins and compounds for treatment in mild conditions. In addition to that, a visit was given to one of the research centers to keep a beast with the researches conducted on bacterial strains that were taken from volcanic hot springs at various countries around the world. Many Asian and European countries participated in this conference since this event comes with the visits made by many instructors and researchers from Iraq to various countries to keep up with the latest developments in different sciences and in the frame of the strategic cooperation between the university of Baghdad and other universities in light of the policy of openness adhered by the ministry of higher education and scientific research to promote the scientific, cultural and social reality in Iraq.
