Under the slogan (the cultural contribution of the Iraqi scientists in the twentieth century), the faculty of languages participated in the 1st international conference of the Iraqi university which was attended by a number of Arab researchers from different countries (Egypt, Algeria, Yemen, etc.). The faculty participated actively through the research of the assistant prof. Hazem Malik Mohsen entitled ( Abdul Wahed Muhammad: an intellectual educator and one of the scientists of Mesopotamia) by reviewing the scientific biography and the intellectual achievements of him in the fields of language, translation and literature. The researcher received a certificate of appreciation and was honored by the conference’ shield. This contribution comes in the context of the participation of the college of languages’ professors in cultural activities and scientific conferences of the academic institutions within and outside the country.
