President of Baghdad University Receives U.S. Delegation

  Mr. President of Baghdad University Prof. Dr. Alaa’ Abdulhussein Abdulrasul on Wednesday a delegation from the U.S. Embassy who is responsible for cultural matters at the Embassy. The delegation consisted of Dr. Brian Director of Cultural Affairs and Benjamin pitched and Frank Wenger from the Department of Public Affairs and Muhaiba Rabijo Nova specialist of brain.

  Mr. President welcomed the guests and expressed the readiness of the University of Baghdad to deepen and encourage cultural and scientific exchange with American universities after viewing the programs of these universities and their importance and the extent to which formations of the University make use of these programs, noting that there are many programs, but the university wants to evaluate these programs through its participants to learn more of the positive or negative points and reflecting the development of the university. Mr. President confirms the importance of scientific development and the need to cope with it and to be interested of medical and engineering competences without neglecting other disciplines and the need to pay attention to training and applied education and reverse the theoretical information to the labor market. Referring to access to training through the exchange of university professors with advanced universities for one week or two weeks for the purpose of supplying our university with scientific energies and make scientific workshops.

  The delegation stressed his willingness to help and support our university which has great importance as prestigious University with a high reputation. Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammed Abbas, director of cultural relations at the university attended the meeting.
