Baghdad University Participates in the Formulation of the Law of the Iraqi Media Network

  To build a free and independent media, that is characterized by professionalism, integrity and impartiality to serve the general interests of the Iraqi people with all its social and political components and out of the importance of the role of media in building a democratic society University of Baghdad participated in the formulation of the law of the Iraqi Media Network through the participation of Dr. Kadhim Imran Musa director of media and public relations in the presidency of the university as a member of the committee which prepared the law to submit it to the Parliament and to get approving . After defining its terms ,the law contains the establishment of an independent commission called the (Iraqi Media Commission) under the control of the Parliament and enjoys legal personality and represented by the head of the Iraqi media or the one who is given an authorization .The law contained also nine chapters and consists of thirty-eight items including definitions and objectives of the Commission ,the President of the Commission , his deputies, the formations of the Board of secretaries ,their numbers , their privileges and their Executive Board and financial provisions as well as the sound reasons for the enactment of this law.
