Department of chemistry at the faculty of education for pure sciences (Ibn al-Haitham), University of Baghdad held a lecture on (essentials of biological effectiveness measurement) where Assistant Prof. Dr. Rajaa Kazim delivered a lecture on the concept of the biological effectiveness and she defined it as any activity inside or outside of a living organism that when measured outside the body there is a need to provide the same conditions for its completion within a living organism. The researcher clarified that biological effectiveness includes microbiological activity, enzymes, hormones and immune proteins and stated that the conditions for testing effectiveness ratios are the type of compound (natural or unnatural) and the effective collections in this compound, weather the purpose of preparing it is to increase or decrease its in addition to determining the appropriate concentration and measure of toxicity.
