Instructor from the college of education (Ibn Al-Haitham) publishes Nucleotide sequences in NCBI 


Assistant Prof. Dr. Ehsan Irfan Hussain, an instructor from the department of biology at Ibn Al-Haitham college of education for pure sciences, University of Baghdad published a Nucleotide sequence of three genes involved in building the beta-carotene of sweet pepper at the official site of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) which is considered as the first record of its kind in Iraq and it is to be republished later on DNA Data Bank of Japan (DDBJ) as well as on Nucleotide Archive (ENA). It is worth mentioned that this work was recorded in the name of University of Baghdad/College of education for pure sciences (Ibn Al-Haitham)/Department of biology.
